As others have mentioned, it doesn’t alert you to the food in the bin being low until it is practically empty, but a simple look at the little window on the front of the unit will tell you when it is getting low.
It definitely doesn’t dispense evenly between the two bowls. They say that it will even out after about 6 uses, but after more than 60, more food still goes to one side than the other. My kittens generally don’t eat their crunchies at the same time and will move from one bowl to another, so it is not a big deal for us.
I inserted an SD card that stores the videos when motion is detected. I did not have to purchase their cloud subscription to see or store those.
The terms and conditions for the app are pretty intense. As long as you don’t plan to try to bring down the Chinese government with your pet feeder, you should be fine.
Overall, I’ve been pleased with this product and would recommend it to others.
Legitimately I need another feeder, but I think this is ok for now.
However this icon is not showing when the light is on or there’s light shining on the feeder. It’s a weird censor problem. I would love help.
In buyer's remorse, I would have preferred to buy 2 single units without cameras and picking up an independent pet camera. Would be roughly the same price, but I could separate the cats while they eat (one eats fast) and get better video quality. I do think it's absurd to not include a full month or two of desiccant packets. This only includes 1 packet that lasts 15 days. It's a shame to spend money on a unit and not be able to effectively use it without putting more money into it less than a month later...
I did have to manually add the MAC address to my WiFi's device management because the unit refused to connect to my very fast, full signal WiFi. Worked fine after that, but is a pain for anyone not more tech savvy. I've only had to do that with one other device.
I have 2 machine and one works perfectly fine. The other sometimes has issues. Twice it kept on dispensing food nonstop, and the error symbol showed up. If I wasn’t home, they would have definitely overate and I know my glutton cat would throw up all over after.
I was traveling and I don’t know if the time was syncing to my phone or not, but I had to change the feeding time, and when I got back, I reset the time, but then it would dispense the food at an unset time as well (around 2 am). This didn’t show up in the feeding schedule in the app. I unplugged the machine, resync the internet, and still the same, so I had to unplug it and manually feed them as of now.
The other machine is working fine though.
Overall, I am happy with it. If I could give 4 1/2 stars, I would, as I believe that it is what the dispenser truly deserves. Just a half star off for the video issue and the unequal dispensing.
The camera quality blew me away! We purchased and set this up right before a very long 2 week trip. We didn’t want to stress out our house-sitter (since she had her hands full with taking care of our kids also!) so having the auto feeder was to lighten her load. The cats can definitely hear you speak through the speakers, and I even popped on and spoke to my kids through it too! The only downside: It is completely dependent on WiFi. In fact the WiFi got turned off (my landlady forgot to pay the bill) and while it was down the feeder didn’t work, so lucky there were people there to manually feed the cats during that time. It’d be nice for it to work (as a backup) when the WiFi is down. Otherwise no complaints!
FOOD:
TYPE: Doesn't work well with meow mix or special shaped/larger cat food. Works best with food like science diet, costco brand - smaller, round bits
PORTION: Not consistent. One serving sometimes only throws out a few bits, and barely anything if using Meow Mix (hence comment above). This isn't necessarily a deal breaker because you can simply program it to dispense more. "One Serving" for my cat is actually 3 with this feeder.
BLOCKAGE: No Issues with blockage.
POWER: It plugs in and takes D batteries for a backup power supply. Our power has gone out several times and my settings are saved even without batteries.
CAPACITY: It holds A LOT of food. One fill lasts me a couple of weeks with 2 cats.
EASE-OF-USE: Extremely easy to program. You can also quickly unlock it by holding down the lock icon, and quickly change any or bypass the schedule and feed now.
FINAL THOUGHTS: I Love this, but I recently bought the wifi model, which I HIGHLY RECOMMEND!! The extra money it costs is nothing compared to the additional features and peace of mind it offers. For one, you can control it through the App 100%. It notifies you when the food is low, or if there's a blockage or any issue at all. If you're on vacation, you can monitor it from wherever to make sure it's working and that your cat is getting fed. I've found the App to be extremely accurate. I use it to feed a stray cat outside since she runs away if I come near. With this, I can tap a button on my phone when I see her and the food automatically dispenses. I had it sitting outside in cold below-zero temperatures and it worked great. Every night a pack of raccoons try to break into it, but they haven't succeeded yet. The only thing they're able to do to it is to detach the front tray, which easily slips back on. Raccoons can usually tear anything up if there's food inside, but they haven't been able to do any damage to this, which says a lot!!! Granted, I'm talking about the wifi model, but it's made the same as this one.
You will not be disappointed with this brand! If you can afford it, upgrade to the one with wifi and app. It's worth it!!!
Er ist auch wirklich leicht zusammen zu bauen und dadurch auch sehr gut zu reinigen, weil es umgekehrt ebenso komplikationslos ist.
Die Programmierung ist tatsächlich etwas holprig beim ersten Mal, aber man hat den Dreh dann ganz schnell raus.
Bei uns sind pro Umdrehung ca. 8g Trockenfutter als Portion pro Napf rausgekommen. Da klappern die Schüsseln natürlich etwas, aber man kann ja ggf die Näpfe austauschen. Wir haben einfach ein bisschen Küchenrolle unter die Näpfe gelegt, damit es etwas dezenter ist.
Wir hatten ihn immer wieder im Gebrauch und bisher hat er immer zuverlässig funktioniert.
Leider ging unser Plan nicht auf und wir werden trotzdem jede Nacht zwischen 3:00-4:00 geweckt…da das allerdings nichts mit der Funktionalität oder Qualität des Futterautomaten zu tun hat und er trotzdem sehr praktisch ist, gibt es eine klare Kaufempfehlung.

Estoy contenta con su funcionamiento, poco a poco los gatos se han ido acostumbrando.
Quise probar como funcionaría con las baterías en caso de que se fuera la luz, lo desconecté de la corriente eléctrica y al poco tiempo se apagó la pantalla led, siguió funcionando pero con la pantalla led apagada, se encendía a la hora programada para dispensar la comida y luego se vuelve a apagar. No sabía si eso era normal.
Me puse en contacto con el vendedor de PETLIBRO para aclararlo, me sorprendió la excelente atención y la amabilidad con la que lo hicieron, me respondieron que es normal que la pantalla se apague 1 minuto después si no hay más acciones mientras el alimentador funciona solo con baterías. Está diseñado así para salvar la vida útil de las baterías.
Me pareció importante comentarlo por si alguien pasa por las mismas dudas que yo. Saludos.

The physical set up of feeder was straight forward. However, the programming of the clock & feedings took a couple tries, but was fine once I got the hang of it. I followed the manual which was included, but also went to the PETLIBRO website and I found that many general questions I had were answered there in the “Q & A” section. Very helpful.
I had to play around with the portion sizes a couple times and measured each meal until I got the correct amount for my cats. It took a bit of trial and error, but it ended up working out fine.
The cats are not afraid of the noise the machine makes (which is a decently quiet typical mechanical noise) and used it right away. I didn’t bother recording a voice message lol. Perhaps at a later time.
Overall, I really enjoy this feeder. Looks great. Really good price (on sale). Works well. Takes a bit of trial and error to get used to the button functions, as well as the correct meal potion sizes, but after you get the hang of it, it’s just fine!
Also, FYI there are other more “advanced” models available by this company that include a camera and wifi function - both of which I was not interested in.
